Stan Deming is the President of Statistical Designs. Stan is a co-lecturer in our short courses.

Stan was born in Corpus Christi, TX, while his father was stationed there in the Navy during World War II ("it was a convenient place to be born"). His family is from Montana and South Dakota. He attended Carleton College and Purdue University.
After teaching four years at Emory University, Atlanta, GA, and 26 years at the University of Houston, Houston, TX, Stan "retired" on 1 January 2001 to become a professor emeritus. Since then, he has continued in his second career as a consultant and lecturer.
